Technical Requirements

Your world should meet the following requirements:

  • The world must be ORIGINAL to each Entrant (or include content that is in the public domain or that is provided to Entrant by Meta specifically for use in the Contest)
  • Be a world made for consumption in Meta Horizon Worlds using the Meta Horizon Worlds desktop editor tool.
  • The world is only built with Meta Horizon Worlds tools that are available to the general public and/or available to MHCP members. Use of Meta tools that have not been released to the Meta Horizon Creator Program (MHCP) members or the general public is not permitted.
  • The world must be newly published by the Entrant during the duration of the competition and not have been previously entered into any other challenge, sweepstakes, promotion, or competition.
  • Creators can submit their worlds as either mobile-only or compatible with both mobile and VR devices. A VR-only world will not meet the judging eligibility criteria in this competition
  • Must follow Meta Horizon Content Guidelines for 10+, 13+, and 18+ to help keep Meta Horizon Worlds a fun and welcoming place for everyone.
  • The world must include content that is interactive for mobile players.
  • If a project uses any third party tools, code or assets, the participant must be authorized to use them in accordance with any terms and conditions or licensing requirements of the tools, code or assets.
  • Comply with all relevant MHCP/Meta policies and terms (e.g., MHCP Program Terms, Community Standards, Conduct in VR Policy, Partner Monetization Policies, Content Monetization Policies, and Meta Horizon Worlds Content Guidelines).
  • Must not include: 
    • Any malware, spyware, viruses, or similar harmful code or content
    • Any content that is false, fraudulent, deceptive, misleading, defamatory, libelous (including trade libel), disparaging, harassing, threatening, profane, obscene, pornographic or otherwise adult-oriented, hateful, indecent, inappropriate, or injurious to any party.

  • Must be entirely in the English language or include English subtitles. 

  • May not mention or depict any identifiable person other than Entrants.  

  • Must not infringe, misappropriate, plagiarize, or violate any rights of any third-party including, without limitation, copyright (including moral rights), trademark, trade secret, or rights of privacy or publicity.

  • Must not contain or describe any harmful or illegal activity or content or in any way violate any federal, state, or local laws, rules, or regulations.

  • Must be suitable for presentation in a public forum.

  • Must not create or imply any association between Sponsor and any individual, entity, or anyone else or his, her, or its products and services.

  • Must not contain any commercial or corporate advertising (including, without limitation, corporate logos, brand names, and slogans), recognizable branded products, or commercial artwork.
