You can do this! It is time to submit your project for the Meta Horizon Creator Competition.
Submissions are due by May 8 at 11:45 PM PT.
Have questions? To help with any last-minute questions or concerns, we’ve created this thread as a dedicated space for you to ask anything related to submitting your worlds for the competition.
Critical Warning: Publishing a World as Non Discoverable and then switching to Discoverable Automatically Enables Members Only Option in the Desktop Editor.
Please be aware that there is currently a bug in the Desktop Editor which can have implications when publishing your world.
If you have published your world, with Discoverable set to off, setting Discoverable to on in the Publishing modal in the Desktop Editor will automatically switch Members-Only to on.
Please make sure that you switch Members-Only to off before you publish your update, as judges will not be able to judge your world if it is set to Members-Only, and it must be available to play on mobile.
If you are impacted by this issue please alert us as soon as possible in the submission thread.
Check the following list and your submission to make sure your world is eligible and will have a shot at one of the prizes.
Submission Checklist:
- Did you design and build a NEW innovative world for Meta Horizon that works seamlessly on mobile devices?
- Is your world designed for one of the specific genres? (Simulation, Party Game, Roleplay, Adventure, or Obby / Platformer)
- Did you publish the world in Meta Horizon worlds? Ensure it’s publicly accessible!
- Did you record and upload a 3-minute demo of the world that shows the experience as viewed on a Mobile device?
- Did you complete all the submission steps on Devpost? Your project should show it is SUBMITTED from the My projects page. This will require:
- URL to your hosted demo video on YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook Video, or Youku.
- URL to your published World and details that will help our Judges and review team assess your World.
- Accompanying documentation such as your inspiration, how you built it, challenges, accomplishments, and next steps.
If you've checked all the boxes above, you're well on your way to submitting a stellar project! Remember, submissions are due on May 8 at 11:45 PM PT.
